AUEET 2015 scholarships : The AUEET 2015 scholarship scheme for students enrolled in Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) programmes in Alliance College of Engineering and Design, Alliance University has been released on its official website.

The scholarships would be offered exclusively to students who are of Indian nationality, pursuing full time regular B Tech programme. The scholarship offered by Alliance University would be in the form of fee remission that would be deducted from the tuition fee. Scholarships shall be continued the following years until the completion of the course. However, the scholarship is subject to termination if the recipient of the said scholarship fails to maintain his/her CGPA of 2.5 in the academic record. Also, the recipient should not be a subject to any disciplinary actions of the university.

The scholarship scheme is constructed with a division of five categories. The five categories of students that could make a claim to the scholarships are provided in the following:

1. Merit

Applicants must have scored at least 90 % in class X and XII without any repetition of appearance in these exams. 25% reduction out of the total tuition fee would be made if the scholarship is approved.

2. Sports Quota

The applicant must have participated in national/international sports events recognized by the Government of India. A certificate issued by the National Federation/Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports/Board of respective disciplines would be required. His/her scholarship is liable to be discontinued if there is no significant contribution towards the university. The applicants should also have an academic record of minimum 60 % in class X and XII without any repetition. 20% reduction out of the total tuition fee would be made if the scholarship is approved.

3. Differently Abled

Applicants who is a subject to these seven categories mentioned thereon may apply for the scholarship under this category. They are mental illness, low vision, blindness, mental retardation, hearing impairment, leprosy cured and loco motor disability. Applicants suffering with 40% disability shall be deemed worthy of receiving the scholarship. The applicants should also have an academic record of minimum 60 % in class X and XII without any repetition. 30% reduction out of the total tuition fee would be made if the scholarship is approved.

4. Schedule Caste (SC)/ Schedule Tribe (ST)

Applicants falling under this category must produce the Caste/Tribe certificate issued by the competent authority. The income certificate would also be required. The upper ceiling of income should not exceed four lakhs per annum. The applicants should also have an academic record of minimum 75 % in class X and XII without any repetition. 25% reduction out of the total tuition fee would be made if the scholarship is approved.

5. Domicile

Applicants who have passed out of any institution in Karnataka or those who had studied for a minimum period of seven academic sessions in the state of Karnataka may apply for this scholarship. The applicants should also have an academic record of minimum 75 % in class X and XII without any repetition. 5% reduction out of the total tuition fee would be made if the scholarship is approved.

Non Resident Indian (NRI) and students who got admission via Karnataka CET cannot apply for the scholarship. It is sternly notified that the decision taken by the Scholarship Committee would be the final verdict in any case.
