BITS Campuses stand united with BITSConnect 2.0

BITS-Pilani campuses may be spread across a wide geography, but they still stay in sync, courtesy Tele-presence facility provided by Cisco as a part of a cross-campus technology initiative named BITSConnect 2.0.

Faculty shortage in higher degree courses and electives was a big challenge across the campuses, making it tough to launch electives in Pilani, Dubai, Goa and Hyderabad campuses. Placements were also a task, as the same company had to visit multiple campuses. Hence, Cisco’s tele-presence, video conferencing and Cisco Web-ex came as a big relief.

BITS Pilani is now offering 14 specialised electives to hundreds of students across its three campuses.
