BITSAT 2016 Application Form and Process

The application process for Birla Institute of Technology and Science Aptitude Test (BITSAT) 2016 has started. Candidates can fill up the BITSAT 2016 application forms on the official website of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS). BITSAT exam for the year 2016 is scheduled to be conducted between May 14 and May 28, 2016, at various locations across India and abroad. Through BITSAT 2016 exam, candidates can seek admissions to various engineering courses in BITS campuses located at Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad, and Dubai.

The last date to fill up the application form for BITSAT 2016 is March 8, 2016 and for revision/editing of the application form (if necessary) it is March 7, 2016. Candidates who have difficulty in filling the registration form, can follow instructions on how to apply for the exam, available online. Aspirants can apply for BITSAT 2016 in three simple steps:

1. Registration
2. Filling the application form
3. Payment

Registration:

This is the first and foremost step to apply for BITSAT 2016. Here, aspirants will have to register themselves by entering their personal details - Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Email Id etc.

Once, all the requried details are filled in, candidates will be asked to proceed to the next step.

Filling Application form

• BITSAT 2016 application form is divided into three parts - Personal Details, 12th Examination Details and Test Centre Preferences. All these details need to filled carefully.

• Applicants must fill up the application form online and pay the prescribed fees, which is Rs.2200 for male candidates and Rs.1700 for female candidates.

Please note that if a candidate chooses Dubai as a test center, both male and female had to pay US $ 50 (Rs.3100).

• Candidates need to specify their programme preferences along with mentioning the marks scored in class 12^th exam.
• They need to double check all the information mentioned by them in the form.
• These application forms then needs to be printed and posted to the address mentioned on the website.
• Candidates will receive their application form number for future reference. This is a unique number issued to them during the application process. This unique application number needs to be noted for future purposes. 
• Applicants need to submit an attested photocopy of class 10^th Passing/Matriculation/Secondary School certificate, issued to them by the board.
• They should also attest photocopy of the marksheet of the qualifying examination along with a certificate of any other higher university/board examinations passed.

Note:

Candidates can apply online only once for BITSAT 2016. However, in case if there are any errors in the submitted form, aspirants can apply for the second time and send a letter to admission office BITS, Pilani mentioning the earlier application number which will be cancelled. In such cases, the second application has to be accompanied by a fresh application fee.

Please remember that besides applying and taking the exam, aspirants will also have to apply for admission to BITS as per the ‘Procedure for applying for Admission’. This application form can be availed from the official website of BITSAT by May 20, 2016. This form needs to be submitted and should reach the BITSAT Admissions office before 5 pm on June 30, 2016.

Please remember that the application fee is non-refundable. The fee can be paid using either in cash or online using credit card/debit card/Net Banking/Mobile wallet.

Downloading Admit Card

Candidates can download BITSAT 2016 admit card from the official website the entrance exam between April 20 and April 30, 2016.

Procedure for admission

Selected candidates needs to apply for admission as well and the procedure for applying for admission through BITSAT 2016 is different.

• They need to give details of their class 12^th marks and preferences to different degree programmes.
• Candidates will get the prescribed application form for admission, details of academic flexibilities such as dual degree, transfer etc. and the final list of degree programmes by May 20, 2016 on the official website.
• As soon as the details are made available online, candidates need to fill up and send completed form with required application fee on or before 5 PM on June 30, 2016.

The counseling process for the exam will begin as soon as the results for BITSAT 2016 is declared. BITSAT 2016 results are expected to be declared in July, 2016.
