Build professional real estate skills
To meet the learning needs of professionals in real estate and construction sectors in the country, The Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) have launched a joint initiative to offer programmes for real estate/construction professionals.
CREDAI is the association of real estate developers in India while RICS is a global professional body for built environment. In the past, RICS has also offered specialised educational programs tailored for the Indian market, to equip working professionals with skills that are at par with international standards.
Shortage of skilled professionals is a major issue leading to delay in project deliveries, cost runs and compromised quality. The initiative will target the unmet challenges of the Indian real estate industry to ensure the enhancement of knowledge and skills of individuals employed at development firms.
Program features:
- Mode: Distance learning and face-to-face workshops
- Duration: 2 weeks to 6 months
- Ideal for working professionals
- Students will be awarded with certificates by 'RICS Professional Education' on the successful completion of the respective program
Depending on the participant enrolments in a particular city, the workshops for these programs would be held in metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad etc.
Subsequently, some of these programs will be offered in partnership with academic institutions such as The College of Estate Management (CEM), Royal Agricultural College (RAC) and Cambridge International Land Institute (CILI).
Despite real estate and construction sectors being key contributors to the country’s economy, education and training options available for professionals are almost non-existent. This partnership is expected to make convenient and economical education and training options of the highest standards, available to this sector towards improving professionalism and efficiency, reported Business Standard.
