CBSE Class X, XII exam to start March 1, 2014

As per the latest notification released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Class X and XII exams are scheduled to commence from March 1, 2014. Though the complete detail is not out yet, the date sheet for the same is expected to be declared in the third or fourth week of December 2013. Once the date-sheet is out, students can download the same from the official website - cbse.nic.in.

The exam in the year 2013 too commenced on the same date i.e. March 1. CBSE’s announcement of the 2014 dates has put an end to the speculations about the exams getting postponed next year. Vineet Joshi, chairman CBSE, announced on Sunday that the Class X and XII board examination dates won't be advanced and will be held on March 1, 2014, "as is the practice", reported TOI.
