Facebook hires non-IIT engineering graduates

The placements happening at the top tech institutes of the country during this time of the year are seeing quite a lot of revolutionary changes.
Placements at Non-IITs:
Facebook, this year, has offered job opportunities to students from non-IIT engineering institutes along with the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Out of the eight students it chose from the bunch who interned at its Menlo Park headquarters in the US from May to August, three were IITians and four non-IITians.
Out of these four non IITians , three accepted the pre-placement offer and are from the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H). All the students, who would join the company after their graduation in 2014, will earn $1,00,000 (Rs 62,39,000) as annual base salary, $75,000 (approximately Rs 46,80,000) as a one-time signing bonus and FB stocks worth $1,00,000 that would be handed out over four years.
Ranjith Mudaliyar from the National Institute of Technology, Trichy is the fourth IITian who has made it to the organization via their PPO while Sabarinath N, Kanishk Parihar and Lakhwinder Gaba are the three IITians selected.
