GCET 2016 Eligibility Criteria and Test Centres
Candidates appearing for Goa CET 2016 exam can check the eligibility criteria for the same to make sure that they are eligible to appear for the exam. Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2016 is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa State (DTE Gao) for admissions to various engineering programmes and other professional courses. GCET 2016 is scheduled to be conducted on May 10 and 11, 2016, across various centres in Goa. The application process for GCET 2016 will begin soon. The first and most basic requirement to appear for the exam is that candidate should have cleared the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination with a minimum percentage in specific subjects. The exam paper will have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects and there will be a total number of 75 questions in the exam. More information on GCET 2016 syllabus is available here.

GCET 2016 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the exam, candidates need to fulfill following criteria to be able to submit the GCET application form.
- Candidates should be an Indian National.
- Non-resident Indians having Indian passport can apply for the seats reserved for NRI candidates.
- Candidates who are overseas citizens of India (OCI)/Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders will also be considered eligible for the exam under NRI category.
- Applicants who have appeared for NATA conducted by Council of Architecture can appear for GCET.
- Candidates who have passed their 10+2 from Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Goa Board or Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, or any recognized board can appear for the exam.
- Appearing candidates need to score a minimum percentage of marks in the specific subjects to be able to apply for GCET.
- Candidates appearing for B.E. should have cleared 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and English as main subject with not less than 45% marks (40% in case of SC, ST, and OBC only).
- Those who have done International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% marks in aggregate can appear for the exam.
- Kashmiri migrants with a minimum score of 45% in 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology as main subjects can appear for GCET.

Appearing students can download GCET 2016 admit card from April 2 to 29, 2016. More information on the same is available online. The expected date for GCET 2016 results is May 18, 2016. The exam conducting authority may change the result declaration date as and when needed.
