Haryana is soon to get two Central Institutes of Plastic Engineering and Technology (CIPETs) in the south and north region. This is to meet the requirements of plastic engineers and technicians in the country. If latest reports are to be believed, only 2 lakh plastic engineers and technicians are available whereas 10 lakh such experts are required in the country to meet the needs of the plastic industry. Currently, there are 4 CIPET centers for Higher Learning and 12 CIPETs for other learning centers in the country.

The new centers will also contribute to the development of plastic industry in the country, hence making it more self-sufficient in this particular field.

The Union Minister, Ananth Kumar shared the information of setting up new CIPETs in Haryana and also directed the officials of Chemical and Fertilizer Ministry to prepare an MoU which will state the association of Saksham Yuva Scheme and CIPET. The MoU will be signed by the Central and Haryana Government.

Saksham Yuva Scheme is an initiative by the state Government of Haryana that will help improving the status of unemployed graduates in the state by paying them an amount of Rs.9000 per month. This practice will continue up till the time these candidates stay unemployed.
