How to apply for VITEEE 2015?

The registrations for VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Exam) 2015 commenced on December 1, 2014 and will continue till February 27, 2015.  Students can register for the exam both offline and online. VITEEE 2015 is scheduled to be conducted from April 8 – April 19, 2015.

For registering offline, aspirants need to obtain the application form from the various list of post offices given on the official website. Along with the prospectus, students will get the information brochure for the B.Tech. Degree programme 2015 and a printed self-addressed envelope against cash payment of Rs. 990/-.

Given below is the step by step process to register for VITEEE 2015 both - online and offline.

Online application process:

Step 1: Registration

The first and the foremost step is to register for the exam. Students need to keep the following points in mind at this stage:

• Relevant details need to filled in very carefully 
• It is important to provide a valid email id and mobile number for the password will be sent to the registered mobile number and email id 
• Please note that once filled, the name, date of birth and email id cannot be changed
• Date of Birth of the candidate should be on or after 01.07.1993 
• Immediately after registration, students will receive a password on their mobile number and email 

Students can proceed to Step 2 with the password that he/she receives.

Step 2: Confirmation of password

At this step, students need to enter the email id and password received from VIT to proceed for filling the online application

Step 3: Filling up the online application form

• Before filling up the application form online, it is advised that students read the information brochure carefully.
• It is must to fill the fields marked with an asterisk *
• NRI/PIO/OCI aspirants can apply directly through Direct Admission to B.Tech. programme without appearing for VITEEE-2015. Such candidates should refer the website for more details.
• Foreign candidates are not eligible to apply for VITEEE 2015.
• Please remember that the change of test city and slot will not be allowed once booked.

After checking and filling in all the details, aspirants should hit the submit button displayed at the end. Soon after this submission, an application will be generated.

Step 4: Selection of Mode of payment

Aspirants can pay the exam fee either by online mode or by DD.

Online mode:

• Online payment can be done via Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Bank details 
• During the payment process, DO NOT press backspace or Refresh button. This will you avoid double charges/payment error 
• On successful completion of transaction, kindly take the printout copy of the application for your reference 
• Do not send the hardcopy of the application form after uploading the Photograph and Signature.
• In case, the transaction is not successful due to  network issues / display of error page:

-          For transaction found not successful, even after the amount deducted from your account, please wait for 3 working days. You can proceed further, after getting the mail from VIT.

-          In case of transaction found incomplete after 4 working days, send a mail to ugadmission@vit.ac.in.

Demand Draft mode:

Aspirants need to have a DD ready with an amount of Rs.940/-(50 USD for NRI candidates) drawn in favour of 'VIT University', payable at Vellore. 

In case, if the aspirant is not ready with the DD while submitting the application form, he/she can 'logout' from the screen and can resume the session from the same payment screen through Step 2, by logging in with the email id and password.

Please note that it is a must for the aspirants to send the hardcopy of the application form along with the DD after uploading the photograph and signature to the address of Director-UG Admissions, VIT University, Vellore - 632014, Tamilnadu. 

It is advisable that candidates write their name, application number and mobile number on the reverse side of the DD.
Step 5: Photograph / Signature Upload

• Aspirants should provide a softcopy (scanned copy) of recently taken passport size colour photograph with 10 kb - 200 kb (Dimensions -3.5 cm x 4.5 cm ) in JPG / JPEG format 
• They also need to provide a softcopy (scanned copy) of their signature with 10 kb - 200 kb (Dimensions - 6 cm (width) x 2 cm height) in JPG/ JPEG format

Step 6: Download the filled-out Application form 

Students can now take a printout of the filled-in application form for future reference.

Offline application mode:

The offline application form can be obtained via any of the following methods:

• As mentioned above, the prospectus along with the information brochure and other necessary enclosures can be obtained from various List of Post Offices against paying a cash amount of Rs.990/- OR

• By sending a Demand Draft for  990/- [Computerised DD] drawn in favour of 'VIT University' payable at Vellore to the address of  Director - UG Admissions, VIT University, Vellore with a request letter containing the complete address with Mobile number. OR
• By handing over a DD of  990/- in person at VIT University from the following addresses:
