IIT-D to start Business Management course online
The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) is ready to start an online certificate course in business management from January 2013. The six-month course is open to graduates from any discipline and students in their final year can also apply for the course.
This program will be offered through a combination of both online and contact classes. The online classes will be conducted on WizIQ, which is a platform that helps universities and colleges across India to adopt ICT for blended/online/distance academic programs. The course is divided into three phases where the first and third phase will comprise of regular classes in the IITD Campus and the second phase will have online classes on the WizIQ platform.
For online classes on WizIQ, students will get an orientation and will be issued login credentials for the same. Classes will be conducted by faculty members from IITD and experts from other pioneer institutes and industry.
All those students who are in their final year can also apply for this program. This program has been specifically designed for students who do not have a management degree and wish to gain understanding of the organizational functioning.
As a basic requirement, students must have their own laptop/desktop computers with good internet connectivity. On the successful completion of the program, students will be awarded a Certificate in Business Management by the Continuing Education Program and the Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi.
