IIT Gandhinagar joined hands with PRL to promote research
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar has signed a MoU with the Physical research laboratory (PRL) to enhance the interactions through academic and Ph.D programmes. PRL Dean Anjan Joshipura said that both the institutes will promote research in fundamental and engineering sciences and areas of interest which are common to them. 
A joint Ph.D program will also be initiated as part of this MoU and under which participating students from both the institutes will get degrees from IIT Gandhinagar. This MoU will facilitate exchange of students and faculty and allow for collaboration between scientists and engineers of both the institutions.
PRL is one of the most prestigious institutes, which is engaged in basic research in experimental and theoretical physics, astronomy and astrophysics, earth, planetary and atmospheric sciences. Faculties from both the institutes will give lectures and teach courses at the partnering institutes.
