Once the faculty members are recruited, IIT Indore will seek the approval for the courses from the ministry of human resource and development (MHRD). IIT-I plans to admit about 40 students in the courses initially.
The admission to UG courses will be through JEE while admission to PG courses will depend on GATE scores.
However, lack of outstanding scientists in the field is impacting the faculty hiring prospects for the institute. The short supply of qualified people might cause a delay in commencement of the courses.
