IIT-Kanpur student bagged highest package of Rs. 73 lakh from Pocket Gems

A student from IIT-Kanpur has set a new record in campus placements. A US based company Pocket Gems has selected a student for an annual package of $137,000 (over Rs.73 lakh). Karan Narain, a M. Tech (final year) student in computer science from IIT Kanpur, has been selected for this extravagant offer.

It is the highest package ever offered to an IIT-Kanpur student and it is also one of the highest offers in India as well. Pocket Gems deals with mobile application development for Android and iOS. Karan is overwhelmed after receiving this offer. He added that interviews were totally technical in nature and he has a background in Android which could have appealed them to choose him for such offer.
