NATA 2016 will be conducting in two parts i.e. Phase I and Phase II. While, the Phase I exam will conclude on May 28, Phase II exam will begin from June 6 and continue till August 20, 2016. Candidates planning to appear for the phase II exam can fill up the registration form for NATA 2016 till August 18 (last date to apply for NATA 2016).

Candidates must note that the changes introduced by Council of Architecture are effective from April 1, 2016.

Following are the important changes in NATA:

  1. Candidates can attempt for NATA for a maximum of 5 times, which will be counted within two years from the date of their first attempt.
  2. Candidate’s best score will be taken as the “Valid Score” out of the number of attempts (maximum of 5).
  3. There will be “Best of 5 attempts” system applicable for candidates appearing for NATA test from April 1, 2016.
  4. The validity of candidate’s best score will be 2 years and the same will be counted from the date of their first attempt.
  5. Candidate needs to submit a new NATA registration form at the NATA website for every attempt and require to pay the registration fee for each try.
  6. The NATA website will maintain a mark list of candidate, which will show the “best marks” scored by the candidate among all his previous attempts. Their best marks will be counted as their “Valid Score”. Please note that the candidate is eligible for a maximum of 5 attempts only.
  7. Council of Architecture will determine the “best of 5” for students appearing for NATA before 2016 by allowing them to sit for the exam five more times. It will consider their “last valid score” for obtaining the best score in NATA. The validity of the “Valid Score” is 2 years from the date of candidate’s first attempt in 2016.
  8. Candidates who are appearing for NATA must declare their earlier exam details as required in the application form.
  9. If any candidate tries to register afresh in NATA concealing their earlier attempts, he/she will forfeit his/her candidature and all his/her previous score will be cancelled. Not only this, but any candidate caught in similar activities, will be barred from appearing for NATA again.
