Jain University M.Phil Phd exam
Jain University, Bangalore will be conducting an entrance exam for admissions to its M.Phil and Ph.D programs for the academic session 2013.The exam is scheduled to be conducted on August 4, 2013.

Eligibility:
- A Masterβs Degree (from a recognised university) in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% (In the case of SC / ST candidates there will be a relaxation of 5%)
- Aspirants who have passed UGC / CSIR / Fellowship holders will be exempted from the Written Test; but they will need to take up the Interview.
- Aspirants who are qualified for CA or ACS or ICWA with basic degree are also eligible to register for Ph.D. in this category
- AspirantsΒ who have qualified for Masters Degree prior to 1990-91 with no less than 50% marks are also eligible to register for Ph.D. programme
- M.Phil. degree holders will get a waiver for part of the course work of Ph.D. programme
- Candidates sponsored by organizations are also eligible to apply subject to their fulfillment of the above mentioned qualifications
- Candidates who hold a Masters Degree viz., M.Tech / M.Sc (Engineering) in Civil, Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering (Structural or Associated disciplines) are eligible for the Ph.D.(Aerospace Engineering) Programme.
Course duration: 3 years
Exam pattern:
This 90 minute exam will carry 90 marks and will be spread over two sections:
- Section A: General and Research Aptitude (45 marks)
- Section B: Subject Aptitude (45 marks)
Both the two sections will encompass multiple choice questions and short answer questions. The syllabus for Section B would be at the Masters level in the concerned subject.
