JEE Advanced 2014: Seat intake in IIT Bombay

Considered the best amongst all the 16 IITs, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay boasts as many as 14 academic departments, six centres, one school, and three interdisciplinary programmes.

The institute has around 880 seats on offer which is spread over 16 undergraduate (B.Tech) engineering streams. Chemical engineering - as an undergraduate branch - has the highest seat intake (124), while Metallurgical Engineering (M.Tech) has the lowest seat intake (13).

The total number of seats available for general category students at the institute is 445, while that for OBC, SC and ST students is 237, 133 and 65 respectively.
