The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi (formerly known as College of Engineering & Technology Delhi) has been recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. One of the most prestigious engineering/technical institutes of India, IIT Delhi offers as many as  15 undergraduate engineering courses including Chemical, Civil, Computer Science Engineering etc.

The institute has an intake capacity of 851 students across all the B.Tech programmes it offers. Civil and textile engineering are two branches that has the highest seat intake at the institute.

The total number of seats available for general category students at the institute is 432, while that for OBC, SC and ST students is 227, 127 and 65 respectively.
