JEE Main 2015: Mistakes to avoid for online exam
JEE Main 2015 online exam is all set to commence from tomorrow, April 10 and will be held on April 11, 2015 too. The exam to be conducted tomorrow and day after is only for B.Tech admissions (Paper 1) and not for B.Arch admissions.
With not even a day left for the exam to begin, it’s certain that aspirants must be facing immense pressure and succumbing to this situation, you might end up making a mistake.
Being an online exam, there are some things that are different from the offline version. And basis this, there are some common mistakes that you just might end up making.
Here is a list of some common mistakes which students can easily in JEE Main 2015 online exam. Also, read how you can avoid the same and score better.
1. Read the instructions carefully: Do not skip the instructions given for the exam. Aspirant, in a hurry, end up making this mistake of not reading the instructions carefully. If not read properly, it might lead up to confusions. In the online exam, aspirants get an option of scrolling back and forth as and when they like to change their answers before they submit the test finally.
2. Check your computer: Before taking the exam, make sure the computer assigned to you is working fine. In case, if you come across some issue, immediately report it to the concerned authority or invigilator present in the room at that time.
3. Avoid carrying prohibited materials: Aspirants are not supposed to carry any baggage inside the room. Make sure you do not make this mistake. Other items which are not allowed inside the examination hall are calculators, textual material, slide rules, log tables, electronic watches with facilities of calculator, printed or written material etc.
4. Reach before time: Try and reach the examination centre before time – may be half an hour or one hour before to avoid last minute rush. For people taking the online exam for the first time, it is a must to remember this point. The advantage of reaching before is that you would be able to be at peace, will be able to prepare yourself for the exam and will also get a hang of the centre.
5. Go through the question paper thoroughly: Go through the entire question paper thoroughly. Mark the questions which appear simple to you and try attempting them first.. Attempt all the simple questions in the beginning. Once you are done with the uncomplicated questions, you may proceed to some tricky ones.
6. Avoid negative marking: Do not attempt any question which you are not confident about. A loss of one in this national level exam means a fall in several ranks. Be smart enough to think fast, analyze and figure out the correct option.
7. Do not panic: Losing confidence, patience and mental balance may spoil the game even for a good student. Have faith in yourself and believe that you can ace the exam with ease.
