JEE Main 2016: Check Answer Keys & Analysis For Past 3 Years
JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main made its debut in the year 2013 by replacing AIEEE(All India Engineering Entrance Exam) for admissions to engineering colleges in the country. The exam is gateway for admissions undergraduate engineering programmes at NITs (National Institutes of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology) and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs) located across the country.
Since its inception three years back, the exam hasn’t really undergone major changes. However, is JEE Main aspirants are to be believed, the difficulty level of the exam has increased or decreased every year.

JEE Main 2013
In the year 2013, the overall paper for JEE Main seemed well balanced and checked a student’s knowledge as well as his/her problem solving ability. The severity level of the paper seemed slightly lesser than AIEEE exam conducted in 2012. Furthermore, as per the guidelines, the paper was primarily based on NCERT. The first ever JEE (Main) (Offline mode) was conducted on 7th April, 2013. About 14 lakh students appeared in the offline test. In the year 2012, 11.5 lakh candidates took AIEEE.
JEE Main 2014
JEE Main 2014 was conducted in a time span of five days. While the offline exam was held on a single day on April 6, while the online exam was conducted on April 9, 11, 12 and 19, 2014.
According to experts, there was no change in the paper pattern of JEE Main 2014. In fact, the level of paper was easier than 2013. JEE Main 2015
The level of JEE Main 2015 was overall easy compared to 2014. The Maths paper was the easiest, followed by Chemistry and then Physics. There were questions of ‘Match the following’ type as well in Physics & Chemistry. The highlight of the examination was that students, this time was not given a copy of OMR unlike last year. The online paper was JEE Main 2015 was of the similar level as the offline paper. However, according to experts, the Physics paper was slightly difficult compared to Mathematics. According to reports, in this year, the exam witnessed two wrong questions in the offline exam.
