Akshat who is in same school as Harshit shared that he is pretty nervous and expects the paper to be tough. “My preparation for the exam was not great so I am little confused about my performance in JEE Main. I am also appearing for NATA, which is scheduled tomorrow,” said Akshat.

After the exam:

According to Harsh Mishra from Vanasthali School, Delhi, the online paper of JEE Main was not much different from offline test. He said, “The exam was fine. It was not much difficult but the Mathematics section was little complicated. I found the Chemistry section to be easy compare to Mathematics and Physics.”

Another student Aditya from DPS R.K. Puram, said, “The paper was as tough as the offline test. There were many unusual questions in the Chemistry section that were definitely not easy. Though many questions in the Mathematics section were easy to solve, most of them were time taking.” There were no glitches in the exam", confirmed Aditya.

Kushal Khanna, a student of NSIT College Delhi, appeared for JEE Main for the second time. According to him the Chemistry section was pretty easy last year, “I could find that the Chemistry syllabus this year is not from NCERT. The topics like Organic & Physical, Everyday life and Bio chemicals were not from NCERT. I am pretty sure about it”. He also added that Mathematics section was pretty easy and Physics was just okay.

Kushal also added that he was taking the exam to upgrade his college and program. “If I get a better rank this time I will definitely upgrade my college and branch. I want to stay in Delhi itself. I am very happy with NSIT,” added.

A lot of students to whom Shiksha spoke shared that the online exam was easier than the offline exam.

After the exam:

Soon after the exam got over, students started pouring out from the center. Suprisingly, this year, a lot of students shyed away from sharing their feedback about the exam as according to a lot of them, the paper was tough and they believe that could have done better.

Chhavi Chaudhary from Delhi Scottish School, Greater Noida said, " The exam was good overall but the Maths section was pretty difficult. However, the Physics and Chemistry sections were wonderful. Physics was the easiest amongst all. Since, this was my first attempt at the exam, I thought that the paper had a lot of suprises. Maths is my weakest area and that is why I am not really happy with my performance".

Ayush Punj who took the exam for the second time said, " My main focus is JEE Advanced and not Mains. I had prepared well for numericals. However, the I lagged a bit behind in the theoretcial part. I prepared for the exam on my own and I think that the exam was better this year as compared to last year".

For another JEE Main 2016 aspirant, Sahil from DPS, Hapur, the Chemistry section was the toughest. He said, "The paper overall was good but I could have done better in Chemistry. I could solve 70% of the questions overall but still have my doubts about Chemistry".

Amandeep Singh, who was quite worried before the exam said,"The paper was good and the diificulty level was moderate. I could solve approximately 50 questions in total. Chemistry was the easiest and the like always Physics was the toughest(according to me). Mathematics was of moderate level".

He further added, " Though the paper did not really have anything new but I was suprised with one of the questions on Candle. I think, it was smothing I read it in 10th. I am not very confident of clearing the exam but I would hope for the best".
