KCET 2014 College Predictor: Find your college and branch

With an aim to help thousands of students  who took KCET(Karnataka CET) 2014 - predict which college and branch will they be offered on the basis of their KCET 2014 score, shiksha.com launched the KCET 2014 College Predictor Tool.

Besides being able to predict their college and branch, students, through this tool, will also be informed about the location, institute & course code as well as closing rank of the branch that will be offered to them on a specific rank. At a given time, the screen would display a list of 15 colleges through which aspirants will be able to determine their choice of institute.

The tool offers information based on the cut offs of KCET 2013. To predict the college and branch, students will have to enter rank/predicted rank, category and counseling round. After filling in these details, students will be shown a list of 15 colleges and subject branches for which they will be eligible for admission. Besides this, students will also have an option to download e-brochures of these colleges.

To get you accustomed to Shiksha.com's KCET 2014 College Predictor Tool, here is a step-by-step guide to help you use this tool effectively and find out which colleges/branch you will be eligible for through your KCET 2014 rank:

Step 1- Enter rank/predicted rank

To get started, you first of all have to enter your rank or expected rank in the box mentioned on the right hand side.

Step 2- Select category

The second step includes selecting which category you are from. Here, you have an option to select from GM(General Merit), GMK(General Merit Kannada), GMR(General Merit Rural), 2AR(2A Rural), 2A(2A General), 2AK(2A Kannada) 2BG(2B General), 2BK(2B Kannada), 2BR(2B Rural), 3AG(3A General), 3AK(3A Kannada), 3AR(3A Rural), 3BG(3B General), 3BK(3B Kannada), 3BR(3B Rural), 1G(1 General), 1K(1 Kannada), 1 R(1 Rural), SCG(Schedule Caste General), SCR(Schedule Caste Rural), SCK(Schedule Caste Karnataka), STR(Schedule Tribe Rural). Step 3- Select counseling round

In this section, you need to select any of these – Counseling Round – All (for both the rounds), Round 1 counseling, Round 2 counseling, to know the college you would be offered on the basis of your rank.

After filling in all this information, all you need to do is hit the search button. Soon after this, a list of 15 colleges will be displayed in front of you that would be based on your predicted rank in KCET. You can also “load more results” if you so wish to see more results.

Besides this, students will also have the option to modify their search, in case they wish to.
