KCET 2016 exam is scheduled to be held on May 4 and 5, 2016. The application form for the exam has been made available on the official website. Subsequently, KCET 2016 application process too has commenced. The last date to register for the same is February 13, 2016. Check KCET 2016 important dates here!

The eligibility criteria for candidates applying for KCET 2016 is shared below.

For Engineering / Technology courses

  • Candidates must have passed their qualifying examination (QE) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science as optional subjects. Also, they must have had had English as one of the languages of study
  • General category students must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in the optional subjects in the QE (40% for QE in case of SC, ST, Category-I and OBC category candidates).
  • In case of the aspirant obtains less marks in Chemistry and not able to acquire the required aggregate percentage, then the marks obtained by the candidate in Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science in the QE will be considered. Please note that this will be done only only for the purpose of determination of eligibility and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of Engineering / Technology courses.
  • The Engineering rank list will be prepared and published based on the candidate’s performance in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in both KCET 2016 as well as QE wherein the marks of each exam will be taken in equal proportion.

Criteria for Determination of Merit / Rank

In Qualifying Examination, candidate should have

In CET- Examination

Architecture (B.Arch)

Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std / Equivalent Exam with Mathematics as Compulsory optional subject and obtained a Minimum of 50% of Marks in aggregate in all the subjects. (45% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)

Minimum of 40% of Marks in NATA for all categories of students including SC, ST and Other Backward Classes.

By taking marks obtained in all subjects in Qualifying Examination and NATA taken in equal proportions

 

Note: For admission to Architecture course candidate should compulsorily appear for NATA conducted by the Council of Architecture. The last date to appear for NATA is on or before 20-05-2016. Last date to submit NATA Score Card to KEA is 24-05-2016. Visit KEA Website for list of examination centres conducting NATA.

B.Sc. (Agriculture), B.Sc. (Forestry), B.Sc.(Sericulture), B.Sc.(Agri. No Minimum Marks prescribed in CET
