KIITEE 2014: Eligibility criteria for engineering courses

KIITEE (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Examination) is a national level examination conducted by KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. The exam is used for admission to  various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered at the university like : B.Tech/ B.Tech & M.Tech-Dual Degree/ B.Tech & MBA-Dual Degree, MBBS / BDS, B.Sc. Nursing, Biotechnology(Dual degree - 5 Years), Bachelor of Architecture(B.Arch.), B.A. LL.B / BBA LL.B / B.Sc. LL.B, BBA / Integrated MCA etc. 

This year, the exam is scheduled to commence on April 24, 2014 and will continue till May 3, 2014. The last date to apply for the same is March 25, 2014. Click here to apply online.

The results of the exam is expected to be declared on May 15, 2014.

Eligibility criteria for undergraduate engineering courses:

For B.Tech./B.Tech & M.Tech-Dual Degree/B.Tech & MBA-Dual Degree course: 

  • Aspirants who have cleared 10+2 examination in 2012 and 2013 or will be appearing for the examination in 2014 can apply for  B.Tech (4 years), B.Tech & M.Tech- Dual Degree (5 years), B.Tech & MBA- Dual Degree (5 years) course
  • Aspirants must have attended full-time(regular) school/college
  • They should have passed 10 +2 or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together.
  • Aspirants applying for B.Tech & M.Tech (dual degree) Biotechnology, should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology taken together.
  • Should have been born on or after July 1, 1993.

For B.Tech: Lateral Entry

  • Aspirants must have passed three years diploma course in Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate from State Council of Technical Education of any state. 
  • Aspirants should have been born on or after July 1, 1990
