Private engineering colleges in various states follow the eligibility criteria approved by the state government and AICTE for the management quota admission.

Students must have cleared class 12 with the minimum score of 45% - 50% for admission through Management Quota.

In our country, there's an incredible demand for higher education and with limited numbers of seats available and even fewer seats in the government colleges. This has led to the government allowing private institutions to set up professional colleges, provided a certain number of seats are reserved for merit quota students, and the remaining seats can be filled by management. These students only need to fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the government, which is to have a minimum of 60% in classes 10 & 12.

Management Quota allows these students to get admission to top-ranked private colleges in the country. Once admitted, there’s no discrimination between the students, who have come through the management quota and through merit. Management Quota is completely legal in our country. Arya Institute of Engineering and Technology also allows admission through the Management Quota.

What is Management Quota?

Engineering colleges in our country are divided into the following categories- government colleges and privately-owned colleges (also including deemed universities). Each state for admission into its state colleges conducts its own entrance exam or has a counselling process. The engineering seats in all the private colleges in different states are divided into Management Quota and State Quota. While the State Quota is reserved for admission into state colleges, private colleges can fill the seats falling under their Management Quota. Only a few seats are available under Management Quota at Arya Institute of Engineering and Technology.
