MindTree to hire engg talent from across India
MindTree Ltd, a leading global IT services provider, is scouting for the best of engineering talent across tier-1, tier-2, tier-3 colleges and cities. The initiative is undertaken in partnership with Aspiring Minds, an employability solutions firm. Quite positive about the roping in talent beyond a select few colleges, the organisation will employ an adaptive assessment tool from AMCAT to standardise their hiring procedure.
AMCAT will assess a candidate's language, aptitude and functional skills. However, after the assessment, the shortlisted candidates will be interviewed and once selected, will be offered appropriate roles within MindTree.
Talking about the partnership, N S Parthasarathy, MindTree chief operating officer, told Business Today that about 70 percent of employable talent lies beyond top 100 colleges across tier-1, tier-2 and tier-3 colleges and towns.
After having validated AMCAT's capabilities to assess performance, MindTree will use an objective pre-set quality benchmark, which will help define the skill-set required for an engineer to perform well in IT services roles irrespective of biases based on college or location.
MindTree aims to provide the country’s engineering talent, an equal opportunity to work with the company based on an objective evaluation. AMCAT has been recognized to evaluate and acquire the ‘right’ talent and simultaneously increase the reach and sourcing capability of an organisation.
