MU OET 2016 Counseling Begins June 6

MU-OET 2016 Counseling is all set to commence from June. The results of MU-OET got declared on May 6. Manipal University – Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim Manipal University – Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology and Manipal University, Jaipur are the three universities which will be participating the counselling process of MU-OET this year.

Aspirants can choose the venue of their MUOET 2016 counselling from the following locations according to their convenience and preference.

Please note that the subsequent rounds of counselling to fill the vacancies arising due to withdrawals/cancellations of candidates admitted in the first round of counselling will be conducted online. 

MUOET 2016 Counseling Procedure

Make sure you fulfill all the eligibility requirements given below:

1. Aspirants should have an MUOET-2016 rank
2. Aspirants should have passed in 10+2/A Level/IB/American 12th grade or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.
3. Aspirants should have minimum aggregate marks of 50% in Physics, Mathematics and one of the optional subjects*. In each of these subjects, candidates should have scored at least minimum marks prescribed by the board.
4. Aspirants who have appeared for 10+2 /A Level/IB/American 12th grade or Equivalent board examination and are waiting for the results are eligible for the counseling if they fulfill the above criteria when the result is declared.
5. A candidate's board results should be available on or before July 15, 2016

*List of Optional subjects: (1) Electrical technology, (2) Automobile technology, (3) Structure and Fabrication technology, (4) Air conditioning and Refrigeration technology, (5) Electronics technology, (6) Dairying technology, (7) IT application, (8) Geospatial technology, (9) Chemistry, (10) Computer Science, (11) Electronics, (12) Biology, (13) Bio-technology.

Check list of documents:

1. e-Hall Ticket
2. 10^th standard marks card for proof of date of birth
3. Marks card of 10+2
4. Conduct and Character certificate obtained on the School/College letter head/pad. No other certificate in lieu of this will be accepted
5. Transfer certificate or School/College Leaving Certificate issued by the School/College. No other certificate in lieu of this will be accepted
6. Four recent and identical passport size photographs and one stamp size photograph
7. Fees: As applicable for the programme
8. Copy of PAN card of parent
9. Authorization letter if representative is attending on behalf of candidate
10. One set of photocopies of all the above documents

Please note that candidates need to produce the above mentioned original documents and one set of photocopies for verification.

On the day of counseling

1. It is mandatory for students to be physically present for the counselling process. In case, if a candidate is unable to do so due to unavoidable circumstances, he/she may authorize another individual to represent him/her at the counselling.  This representative must carry the authorization. 
2. Only the aspirant/representative will be allowed to enter the counselling hall. 
3. Aspirants should fill the registration forms available at the registration counter. 
4. Aspirants will be called as per their MU-OET 2016 rank for document verification.  The original documents will be returned back to the candidate after verification.  The original documents should be submitted on the day of orientation. Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and number of seats available in the respective campus.  Such candidates should pay the first year fees at the counselling.  Manipal University will not entertain any requests for extension in this regard.
5. Absence of the aspirant or his/her representative at the indicated reporting time and date will result in the instantaneous forfeiture of any claim for a seat.
6. The choice of course made by the aspirant /representative is final and cannot be altered later under any circumstances.

 After Admission

1. Allotment order and receipt/s for the payment made will be given to the aspirant on completion of the admission process.
2. Aspirants who require hostel facility should contact the Chief Warden of the allotted institution for hostel enrollment.
3. Aspirants should report to the allotted college on or before the reporting date mentioned in the allotment order.

Waitlist

When the seats in which the candidate is interested are filled (not vacant), the candidates may choose to be waitlisted.  Also the candidates who are admitted and wish to upgrade their seat, may choose to be waitlisted.
