MUOET 2015: Scholarships for B.Tech students

MUOET 2015 Scholarships - Scholarships can open doors of education to deserving students. Following the same motto Manipal University also offers scholarships for deserving and economically backward students who have appeared for MU-OET(Manipal University Online Entrance Test) 2015.
At the time of admission, all the candidates are supposed to pay the first installment fee (Rs 2,70,000/- including registration fee) during the time of admission. Â The scholarship amount is refunded for the eligible candidates after common counselling gets completed.

Manipal University, Manipal Campus
Established in 1957 in Manipal, Karnataka MIT is one of the first self-financed colleges in India which specializes in the fields of engineering and technology.  It provides freeship (Rank up to 100) and merit-cum-means scholarship (Rank 101 to 1000) taken together with a cap of 5% of general category intake.

*Candidates need to pay a nominal amount of 5% of course fee or 5% of total family income as yearly installment, whichever is less.
Students need to keep the following things in mind-
- The freeship & merit-cum-means scholarship taken together is limited to 5% of the general category intake and will cover only the course fee payable for the particular course of study.
- This scholarship will not cover the expenses such as hostel accommodation, books etc.
- The percentage of scholarship amount will be constant throughout the course duration, irrespective of changes, if any, in the income group.
- To continue the scholarship for subsequent years, students should maintain a CGPA of 8.0.
Manipal University, Dubai Campus
Manipal University Dubai (MUD) is a branch campus of Manipal University which established its presence in Dubai, UAE in the year 2000. At present Manipal University, Dubai enrolls over 1,500 students from 26 nations across the globe and is an Indian multi-disciplinary university in the region. The institution offers following scholarships recognizing the merit of deserving candidates:

Sikkim Manipal Institute Technology, Sikkim
The institute is a constituent college of Sikkim Manipal University located in Tadong, Gangtok. The institute was established in 1997 and has made its mark in the field of education and health services in India and abroad.
- Scholarship is awarded to the top 15 students.
- In order to be eligible for this scholarship the MU-OET Rank should be within 1000.
- Those students who are selected for this scholarship will have 100% concession on the course fees. They can be from any branch.

Manipal University, Jaipur
Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) was established in 2011 and is set up on 127 acres of land at Dehmi Kalan village near Jaipur. With the objective of encouraging meritorious students and academic excellence, the following scholarships are offered to deserving under- graduate students:
1. TMA Pai Engineering Scholarships:
These are merit-cum-means scholarships with a cap of two scholarships in each stream, restricted to the top 3000 ranks in the MU Online Entrance Test.

Students who wish to apply for these scholarships need to submit copies of their parents’ (both mother and father) Form 16 /16A / ITR of the last two years.
A very important point which the students need to keep in mind is that they will to continue to get the scholarship, only when they maintain a CGPA of 8.0 or above every academic year. If they fail to do so, the scholarship for the subsequent years will be withdrawn.
2. Rajasthan Merit Scholarships
 Under this scheme, a total 30 scholarships of up to Rs. 1, 00,000 each (not exceeding two in each programme) will be given to students belonging to Rajasthan.
- Given to students from Rajasthan School Board, with more than 80% marks in 10+2. Students need to note that for being eligible, they should have passed their 10th and 10+2 examination from a school in Rajasthan.
- The maximum scholarship given to each student would be capped to the first year fees of the course joined, or Rs. 1 lakh, whichever is lower.
- To continue to get the scholarship, a student should maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above, failing which the scholarship for the next year will be withdrawn.
