I was a Science student. What made me choose this field was my interest towards things which had Science as their base. I Then came the realization that this is what I’m interested in. The interest in creativity and creation of innovative things, led me to select engineering as my profession. The college where I study is Abacus Institute of Engineering & Management, and I am from the Computer Science and Engineering department. I chose this college as I believed that this was my first step towards pursuing my dream as a software engineer. My belief is that dreams can be achieved if we work hard and well enough for them.

I cracked WBJEE to take admission in this college. After that, through counselling, I was set.

I had given entrance examinations such as AIEEE, St. Xavier’s College and Jharkhand Combined Examination. I did not take any coaching classes for cracking these examinations, as I did self-studies and went through the syllabus on my own.

I would say that the best way is always, and will be always be self-studies. Believe in yourself, and you don’t need any coaching classes. Hard work by oneself is the best option ever.

I would like to say that the best way to get into your dream college is by preparing for it right away. Hard work never goes in vain. You will have to believe in yourself that yes, you are the one and you can do it well enough.

As I am now in the final year, I have experienced a lot till now. A college is the place where you grow as an individual. You realize the real value of people, places and moments as well. Here, you are going through not just your syllabus, but the learnings of your life, which will lead you to build a greater tomorrow.

I am not placed yet, as I have mentioned above that I am in the final year, but yes, I am experiencing the campus drives. This is the most delicate situation when you are facing the drives as you may get rejected, and then, you might feel lost. But this is not the point to stop at, instead, this is the point where you learn from those moments of what went wrong and try again with confidence. I know that one day, I will also be placed and achieve my dream.

Yes, I can proudly say that I have taken the best decision of my life.

Making mistakes is a typical human nature, and I have also made mistakes in my life. Earlier, I never paid attention towards my studies due to the wrong friend circle, but from the second semester, I improvised and made it to the list of top three students in my class.

My college played a very vital role in my life as here, I got the best mentors and teachers who took me to the right path and also helped me in being what I am today. When I look back, I can see that the only thing that mattered was my hard work and my parents’ belied that I can do this. I can feel how far I have come, but there is still a long way to go.

Basically, there are no tips for career selection. Just do what you love and love what you do.
