NIIT University is inviting applications for BTech programmes in computer science and engineering, information and communication technology, and biotechnology.

New Delhi, June 9 - NIIT University is inviting applications for BTech programmes in computer science and engineering, information and communication technology, and biotechnology.

The four-year BTech programme has been designed and structured to equip students with fundamental knowledge and practical experience to target a wide variety of career options available in engineering. It offers six months industry practice to ensure real-life experience in the field

Course begins

From July 27 at NIIT University, Neemrana

Eligibility

Category 1: B Tech - Computer science and engineering and BTech-information and communication technology. Minimum 60 per cent marks in higher secondary examination.

Minimum 60 per cent marks in the senior secondary examination with physics, chemistry and mathematics from any board in India or its equivalent from any other country. Should have qualified in JEE/AIEE examination.

Category 2: BTech - Biotechnology

Minimum 60 per cent marks in higher secondary examination.

Minimum 60 per cent marks in senior secondary examination with physics, chemistry and biology or minimum 60 per cent marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics or minimum 60 per cent marks in physics, chemistry and biology and mathematics from any board in India or its equivalent from any other country. Qualified in online entrance exam conducted by NIIT University.

Selection process

Category 1: Toppers in 10+2 in all Boards in India

Admission by invitation to all toppers of all boards in India conducting senior secondary examination, provided they have secured minimum 75 per cent marks in higher secondary examination.

Category 2: B Tech - Computer Science and Engineering and B-Tech- Information and Communication Technology

Seventeen per cent weightage to the marks obtained in the higher secondary examination.

Seventeen per cent weightage to the marks obtained in senior secondary examination.

Thirty-three per cent weightage to the rank obtained in JEE /AIEEE, whichever is higher.

Thirty-three per cent weightage to the performance in the on-line/face-to-face interview.

BTech - Biotechnology

Seventeen-per-cent weightage to the marks obtained in the higher secondary examination.

Seventeen per cent weightage to the marks obtained in senior secondary examination.

Thirty-three per cent weightage to in NIIT University online exam marks and 33 per cent weightage to the performance in the on-line/face to face interview.
