IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Jodhpur has invited applications for admissions to the PhD programmes in the following disciplines for the semester commencing from December 2013.

- Electrical Engineering (Including Electrical, Electronics and Communication)
- Mechanical Engineering
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
- Philosophy, Economics, English, Psychology
- Materials Science
- Biological and Cognitive Sciences
Minimum eligibility criteria:
| Ph.D. (Engineering) |
M.Tech./ME/M. Sc. (Engg.) degree or equivalent |
| B. Tech/BE/M. Sc. degree with a valid GATE score. |

| Ph.D. (Sciences and HSS) |
M.Sc. /M.A. Degree in respective or equivalent area with a valid GATE/UGC/CSIR score. |
| Part-time/Sponsored Category Candidates |
Three years of relevant experience is needed for those with M. Tech degree and five years of relevant experience is needed for those with B. Tech or M. Sc. degree. This category is only for those who are working in research labs or in similar institutions. Please note that no financial assistance will be provided under this category. |
