CSIR - Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT) invites applications from candidates aspiring to join as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the PhD programme offered by the institute in the following areas for the academic session commencing January 2014.

  • Organic Chemistry
  • Analytical Chemistry
  • Polymers & Functional Materials
  • Inorganic & Physical Chemistry
  • Biology/ Chemical Biology
  • Bio Engineering and Environmental Sciences

Eligibility:

First class M.Sc. degree or equivalent in Chemistry (Organic/ Inorganic/ Physical/ Analytical Medicinal and Polymers); Biology/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Environmental/ Genetics/Zoology/ Physics or Allied sciences with:

  1. A valid rank in CSIR/UGC-NET JRF Examination, OR
  2. A valid DST- INSPIRE/ ICMR/ DBT Fellowship.

Note: Students who have passed CSIR-UGC-NET examination, under the โ€œLectureship categoryโ€ will not be considered eligible for the programme.

Application procedure:

  • Aspirants can apply online at www.iictindia.org on or before October 24, 2013.
  • Aspirants who wish to enroll for PhD under Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) may separately submit online application to AcSIR at www.acsir.res.in

Selection Procedure at CSIR-IICT:

  • The selection to the programme will be based on the interview(s)/ written Test to be conducted at CSIR-IICT for the short-listed candidates.
  • The interviews are likely to be conducted on November 19-20, 2013.
