RPET 2011 Entrance Exams will be held on 19th May

RPET 2011 entrance exams will be held on 19th May 2011 (Thursday) 9 am to 12 noon. RPET or Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test is conducted under the supervision of Board of Technical Education in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The exams are conducted for admission to first year of undergraduate programs, which leads to Bachelor's degree in various disciplines of Engineering (BTech/BE) in Government and Private unaided technical institutions of Rajasthan (except BITS Pilani, MNIT Jaipur).

Exam Pattern

RPET-2011 exams will be of three hours duration and contain 40 objective type questions, each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. In total there will be 120 questions. There will be no negative marking for wrong answer. The questions will be given both in Hindi and English.

Educational qualification for RPET-2011:

• Must have passed with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST of Rajasthan state) in the subjects combination as given below taken together, in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan.
• Subject combination essential for the qualifying examination for admission to B.Tech. / B.E course would be as follows:

• Mathematics (Compulsory)
• Physics (Compulsory)
• Chemistry
• Bio-technology
• Computer Science
• Biology

Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination (10+2) in 2011 might also apply.
