Rs 1.34 cr package for BTech grad from Allahabad

Salary packages look like going through the roof. But when it comes from a brand like Facebook , it's like creating a history of sorts. This is exactly what happened to a student of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT).

Facebook has hired this engineering student from Allahabad for a fat annual pay package of Rs 1.34 crore. This is one of the biggest offers made to the alumnus of any technical institute of the country.

P Chakravarti, Director of MNNIT, a B.Tech student from the institute received a letter on March 27 from Facebook confirming his appointment and the annual pay package on offer was stated to be USD 262,500 (around Rs1.34 crore), as reported by PTI. (Read the complete story)

"Many students from our institute have bagged lucrative jobs. We have knowledge of at least 30 of our alumni getting selected with packages of more than Rs 10 lakh from companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe etc", Chakravarti said.
