SRMEEE 2014: Eligibility and how to apply
Sri Ramaswamy Memorial (SRM) University holds the SRM Engineering Entrance Examination 2014 (SRMEEE 2014) to offer admissions into its B.Tech programmes. SRM University also conducts SRMEE (SRM Entrance Exam) to admit students in other programmes such as B. Arch, M.Tech, MBA, MCA and health sciences offered by it.
Students have the option of giving this exam either through the paper-pencil mode or the computer based exam as per their preference and convenience. However, students appearing for SRM’s entrance exam to gain admission in programmes such as M.Tech, MBA and MCA do not have any such option as they can only sit for the online entrance exam.
SRMEEE 2014: Eligibility
The criteria for giving SRMEEE 2014 are as follows:
- Candidates need to have passed their 10+2 from a recognized board/institution with the state or central education board.
- Candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in their 10+2.
- Candidates need to have a minimum of 70% aggregate in the qualifying exam.
- Candidates should be Indian nationals and should have completed the last two years of their schooling in India.
Candidates will be eligible for admission on the basis of the score and rank they have in SRMEEE 2014. On the basis of a candidate’s rank they will be called for counselling which will be conducted at the SRM University premises in Kattankulathur, Chennai.
SRMEEE 2014: How to apply
Candidates can apply through any of the three modes mentioned below:
Apply Online: Candidates can apply online on the official website of SRM University. Applicants can apply by means of a credit card/debit card/net banking. In case of pre-paid application, candidates can apply online using 'Unique Voucher Code' as found in the scratch card.
Download Application: Candidates can download the application forms from the official website of SRM University. Applicants need to fill in all their details online after which they need to download and print the application form, sign it and send it along with a DD (demand draft) of Rs. 900 drawn in favour of SRMIST, payable at Chennai.
Apply Directly: Candidates can also purchase their application forms in person from branches of banks such as Axis, City Union Bank, Indian Bank and Karuru Vyasa Bank. The applications can even be purchased from select post office branches as listed at the official website of SRM University. Applications can even be received by writing to ‘Director Admissions’ at SRM University.
