SRMEEE 2014: Exam pattern
Sri Ramaswamy Memorial Engineering Entrance Examination 2014 (SRMEE 2014) is conducted by Sri Ramaswamy Memorial (SRM University) to test the aptitude of candidates for B.Tech programmes offered at its campuses. The last date to apply for the SRMEEE 2014 is March 15, 2014. The entrance exam will be conducted by two means, that is, the computer based test and also in the paper- pencil mode.
Duration of SRMEEE 2014 is two hours thirty minutes (2:30 hours). The question paper will consist of 140 questions which are multiple choice/objective type in nature. The exam paper is divided into four sections; each section will have questions from different subjects such as physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics. The question paper will contain 35 questions each for physics, chemistry and mathematics and 50 questions will be from biology.
For every correct answer, students will be given three marks and for every wrong answer in physics, chemistry and mathematics section, one mark will be deducted whereas in the biology section, 0.7 marks will be deducted.
Candidates who are seeking admission in undergraduate programmes in Health Sciences need to attempt the physics, chemistry and biology section questions whereas others seeking admission in Engineering programmes need to attempt questions in the physics, chemistry and mathematics sections.
