SRMJEEE 2015 topper Veldurthy Sudhanyu - with an All India Rank 5 – stayed away from social media and other social activities since class XIth. Dedicated to his studies, Sudhanyu’s main focus now is to crack JEE Advanced 2015 and he, thus, is trying hard to crack this nut.
Besides SRMJEEE 2015, Veldurthy achieved a good score in class XII, JEE Main and VITEEE. In class XII, he secured 98.7%, while in JEE Main 2015, he scored 291 out of 360. In VITEEE 2015, he bagged an AIR 33. According to Veldurthy, the mantra for good preparation is getting enrolled into a good college/ coaching centre for preparation. While talking to shiksha.com, Veldhurthy shared his prep and success strategy for SRMJEEE and all other exams he is taking or has taken.
Q. How does it feel being the SRMJEEE 2015 topper with an AIR 2? Did you expect this?
It feels great to have secured an All India Rank 5 in SRMJEEE. And no, I did not expect this as I am just focused to clear JEE Advanced.
Q. So, how did you plan your preparation?
I did not really prepare for SRMJEEE. I just prepared for JEE Main and that was sufficient for it.
Q. What was your overall score and Subject wise marks?
I don’t know my score yet. It’s an online exam. I have just received my All India Rank. That’s it.
Q. What study plan did you follow for this exam?
I have studied all at my college, P Chaitanya. My college is from morning 6 am to 8 pm. That’s it. I don’t study further. I have been preparing for my exams there only.
Q. Which SRM campus do you aim to join?
No, I am not planning to join any college of SRM. I am just targeting to crack JEE Advanced 2015.
Q. Success Tips for students taking the exam next year?
I would suggest future aspirants to select a good college/ coaching centre to prepare for any exam. Coaching school matters a lot.
Q. Tell us something about yourself.
Till my class tenth I was different. I didn’t prepare for JEE or any other entrance exam. It was in class eleventh that I started preparing for these exams. I partly stopped using social media since then. I used to play badminton and these days I have quit that also. I like to watch comedy movies. PK of Aamir Khan is one of my favorite movies.
Q. What were your marks in class twelfth?
I have got my class twelfth result. I have secured 98.7%.
Q. What other exams are you taking?
Besides SRMJEEE, I took JEE Main and VITEEE. And I’ll be taking others exams too like JEE Advanced, IIIT Hyderabad, BITS Pilani and Gitam. I got through VITEEE 2015 and JEE Main 2015.
Q. What was your rank in VITEEE 2015 and JEE Main 2015 score?
I secured All India Rank of 33 in VITEEE 2015. And I scored 291 out 360 in JEE Main 2015.
Q. What is your preparation strategy for JEE Advanced 2015?
Again, I’ll be preparing from my coaching institute/ college P Chaitanya. I’ll be studying from my books and material provided by them.
