The application forms for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) 2016 are available online. Interested candidates can apply for the exam by visiting the official website of TNEA. By registering for this exam, candidates can seek admissions to various engineering colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu. TNEA is conducted by Anna University of Tamil Nadu. Students must note that TNEA written examination has been scrapped by the University and the seats are allotted to the candidates through merit list. The merit list of this entrance exam is created on the basis of Class 12 score scaled to 200.

Interested candidates can register for TNEA 2016 only through Internet by logging to the official website of Anna University. They must submit the online application either in person or by post along with important documents of age and other relevant certificates to the Secretary, TNEA, Anna University, Chennai. TNEA 2016 application process

1. Candidates must create a user account with the help of their email ID.
2. They must create a password which should be different from other passwords used to access the email account.
3. Once registered, candidates can login to fill in the application form for TNEA 2016.
4. Fill up all the important details such as name, age, phone number, educational qualification, etc. carefully. 
5. Enclose photocopies of relevant documents that includes class 10^th mark sheet, HSC/Equivalent Mark Sheet, Transfer Certificate, Permanent Community Certificate Card for ST, SC, SCA, MBC & DNC, BC and BCM, HSC Hall Ticket, Nativity Certificate (only in electronic form/ digitally signed e-certificate) if applicable.
6. After filling all the relevant details in the form and enclosing the important certificates, candidate have to submit the online application to the Secretary, TNEA, Anna University, Chennai- 600025 within 10 days from the publication of HSC results.
7. Please note that candidates can pay the registration fee either through online payment mode or by a demand draft.    

Candidates must keep following points in mind while applying for TNEA 2016:

• Candidates who have appeared for HSC/Equivalent examination in March 2016 must submit their Original Mark sheet and TC at the time of counseling.
• Online application received after the due date will be considered defective and are liable for rejection.
• Candidates must select the college and branch of study very carefully as the same will not be changed.
• The last date for joining in the college will not be extended.
