JNTU, Hyderabad released TS EAMCET 2016 exam dates recently. The application form is now available and the registration process for the exam too has commenced.
TS EAMCET 2016 is scheduled to be conducted on May 2, 2016 at various locations across Telangana. The registration window for the exam will be open till March 28 (without late fee) and April 29 (with late fee), 2016.Check the important dates for TS EAMCET 2016 here!
The Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) is conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, on behalf of the Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE). Through this exam, candidates can secure admission to various Engineering, Agricultural and Medical courses in colleges across Telangana.

TS EAMCET 2016 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the TS EAMCET 2016 is as follows:
- Candidates should be of Indian Nationality or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.
- Candidates should belong to the state of Telangana and satisfy local/ non– local status requirements as laid down in the Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admission) order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
- The eligibility criteria for Engineering, Bio-technology, B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering) and for 50% seats in B.Pharmacy, B.Tech (Food Science and Technology (FST)/B.Sc (Commercial Agriculture & Business Management (CA & BM)) courses is mentioned below.
a. The candidate should have completed or appearing in the class 12th or equivalent examination, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
OR
The candidate should have appeared or completed the diploma engineering examinations that are conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh.
b. The candidates must have a score of at least 45% (40% in case the candidates belong to reserved category) in PCM in class 12th or equivalent exam.
c. For pharmacy and Engineering courses, candidates should have completed 16 years of age, as on December 31 of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit to apply for the examination. In the case of B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering), B.Tech. (FST) and B.Sc. (CA & BM), Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission.
4. For Medical courses like MBBS/BDS, the eligibility criteria is mentioned below:
a. Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of Admissions.
b. Candidates should have passed/appearing in the final year of class 12th (intermediate) or equivalent with PCB or Biotechnology and English.
c. The candidates should have scored at least 50% marks in PCB, in case of reserved category the minimum aggregate marks to be scored is 40%.
5. For BAMS / BHMS / BNYS Courses
a. Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of Admissions. There is no upper age limit to appear in this examination.
b. Candidates should have passed/appearing in the final year of class 12th (intermediate) or equivalent with PCB or Biotechnology and English.

Note:
- During the ONLINE submission of TS EAMCET 2016 Application form, the candidate is hereby informed to select the required REGIONAL CENTRE / ZONE (in case of Hyderabad) of his choice and once chosen, request for change of Regional Centre / Hyderabad Zone will not be entertained later.
- The Convener reserves the right to add or delete some Test Centers from the list of Regional Centers notified.
- The Convener reserves the right to allot the candidates to any Regional Centre other than that opted by the candidates.
- Candidates do not have to submit more than one application either for ‘E’ or ‘AM’ or ‘E&AM’ category test. If any candidate submits more than one application for one category, the Convener reserves the right to reject all the applications or accept any one of them only.

TS EAMCET will be a three hour long question paper, which will carry 160 multiple choice type questions, divided into Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Get more details on TS EAMCET 2016 syllabus & pattern here!
Candidates must note that AP (Andhra Pradesh) EAMCET used to be the common exam for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, but after the partition in 2015, both the states started having their individual exams. Now, Telangana conducts TS EAMCET and Andhra Pradesh host AP EAMCET in their states.
