UPSEE 2014: Do's and Don'ts for counselling

The process mainly involves few simple steps that includes verification of documents, filling of choices of courses and institutes, allotment of seats and giving away of tuition waiver fee to students. The document verification process, which is the first and the foremost step towards counselling, will be held from June 27 – July 3, 2014.
Counselling is a crucial part for admissions and to make sure that students do not goof-up during the entire process, here are some do’s and don’ts that they need to adhere to:
Do's:
- Thoroughly check all the details for UPSEE 2014 counselling process on the official website. Keep the time schedule for each activity in mind and adhere to it.
- It is advised for students to check all the information about various institutes given on the websites to make a right choice.
- For document verification, students should go on a date and time when there is minimum rush at the centre. For the same, they can check the given below table to avoid crowd / inconvenience:

- Aspirants must carry all the required original certificates along with attested photocopies of the certificates to be deposited.
- Make sure that the certificates for various categories etc. are issued by the designated authorities on the format as given in the brochure of UPSEE 2014.
- Students must deposit a set of attested photocopies of certificates to the verification centre along with a non-refundable fee of Rs.500 as counseling fee.
- Ensure you receive an OTP after the process of verification is complete.
- Fill a large number of choices of courses as well as institutes so that a seat is ensured.
- Ensure locking of choices after the choices are filled.
Don'ts :
- Do not decide to go for a verification center based on false impression about the image of an institute. All the verification centers are good and have been certified so by the authorities of the University.
- Do not leave original certificates with anyone during the verification.
- Don’t be in panic at any stage. If there is a crowd on any verification centre, candidates may proceed to other verification centre or may turn up on other day as per his convenience.
- Do not entertain any advice from an unauthorized person or agency during the verification. Rely on the officials of the verification center.
