UPSEE 2014: Eligibility criteria

Gautam Buddh Technical University (GBTU), Lucknow conducts the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) to offer admissions to interested candidates into degree level engineering programmes and other professional courses offered by institutes which are affiliated to Gautam Buddh Technical University (GBTU) and Mahamaya Technical University (MTU).

Through UPSEE, candidates can get admission in courses such as engineering, management, fashion & design, architecture, pharmacy, hotel management, computer applications and architecture.

UPSEE 2014 for admissions into engineering programmes is scheduled to be conducted on April 20, 2014.

Eligibility criteria for UPSEE 2014

B. Tech programmes

Candidates are eligible to apply for this course if they have completed their 10+2 or intermediate exam from UP board or its equivalent from a recognized board or university with a minimum aggregate of 45% with physics and mathematics as subjects studied by them.  For candidates belonging to the SC/ST quota the aggregate needs to be 40%. This percentage should have been scored by the candidate without grace marks awarded to him/her from the state or central education board. In order to be eligible to sit for this exam a candidate should have studied one of the following subjects (which are) biology, chemistry and biotechnology as an optional subject.

B. Tech Biotechnology programme

Candidates are eligible to apply for this course if they have completed their 10+2 or intermediate exam from UP board or its equivalent from a recognized board or university with a minimum aggregate of 45% with physics and mathematics/biology as subjects studied by them. Candidates should have also studied biotechnology or chemistry as an optional subject. For candidates belonging to the SC/ST quota the aggregate needs to be 40%. This percentage should have been scored by the candidate without grace marks awarded to them from the state or central education board.

B.Pharm

Candidates are eligible to apply for this course if they have completed their 10+2 or intermediate exam from UP board or its equivalent from a recognized board or university with a minimum aggregate of 45% with physics and chemistry as mandatory subjects studied by them. For candidates belonging to the SC/ST quota the aggregate needs to be 40%. This percentage should have been scored by the candidate without grace marks awarded to him/her from the state or central education board.

BHMCT/BFAD (Bachelor of hotel management and catering technology/ Bachelor of fashion and apparel design)

Candidates from any discipline can apply for this programme provided they have completed their 10+2 or intermediate exam from UP board or its equivalent from a recognized board or university with a minimum aggregate of 45%. For candidates belonging to the SC/ST quota the aggregate needs to be 40%. This percentage should have been scored by the candidate without grace marks awarded to him/her from the state or central education board.

B. Arch.

Candidates are eligible to apply for this course if they have completed their 10+2 or intermediate exam from UP board or its equivalent from a recognized board or university with a minimum aggregate of 50% with physics and mathematics as subjects studied by them.

Candidates possessing a Diploma in Architecture with minimum aggregate of 50% from an institute recognised by the state or central government are also eligible to apply for the B.Arch programme. This percentage should have been scored by the candidate without grace marks awarded to him/her from the state or central education board.
