UPSEE 2015 Counselling Procedure

UPSEE 2015 which was conducted by Uttar Pradesh State Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow on April 18 and April 19, 2015 has started the counselling process for candidates falling under Combined General Rank (UPSEE 2015) yesterday, which is on June, 16, 2015. While registrations and verifications of documents (counselling) for candidates applying through JEE Main test scores will begin from July 9, 2015. Check UPSEE 2015 important dates here!
UPSEE 2015 test scores are accepted in government aided as well as private unaided institutes that are affiliated to UPTU along with some other state universities of Uttar Pradesh. However, 20 % of the seats are reserved for JEE (Main) 2015 rank holders in private institutes affiliated to UPTU Lucknow for B Tech programmes.
Courses offered under UPSEE 2015 entrance examination are Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech), Bachelor of Fashion & Apparel Design (BFAD), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharm), Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (BHMCT), Bachelor of Architecture (B Arch), Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Master of Applied Management (MAM), Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA), and B Tech, MCA, B Pharm (Lateral Entry in 2nd Year).
UPSEE 2015 conducting authority UPTU has cited three steps involved in the process of counselling. The three major steps to be followed during the counselling process are in the following:
First step: Documents verification process
The first procedure to be followed by the candidates is to be present physically at the time of counselling for documents verification at the centres designated by UPTU. One set of photocopies duly attested by competent authority and their original documents have to be submitted at the counselling centres. Candidates should make sure to get one time password (OTP) after the verification of documents is complete. Documents required for verification are in the following:
- Domicile certificate (for candidates who have passed outside the state of UP)
- Certificate of category (SC, ST and OBC (issued on or after April 1, 2015 due to creamy layer condition)/rural weightage/subcategories)
- Medical fitness certificate issued by MO/CMO of participating engineering institute funded by the state of UP (also for differently abled candidates) 4. Income certificate (for economically weak candidates)
- Undertaking by candidates who does not fall under Physically Handicap/Physically Disabled category.
- Birth certificate or class X mark sheet where date of birth is mentioned.
- Certificate of the qualifying examination.
- NRI certificate issued by High Commission/Chancellery/Indian Diplomatic Mission.
Character certificate issued by the head of the respective schools.

Second Step: Filling of choices
Candidates will be allotted the seats on the basis of merit in the UPSEE 2015 and JEE Main (20 % quota). They will be allotted the seats in order of preference as filled in by them, their merit status and no of seats available in the colleges. Those who are in relatively lower ranks, need to fill the choices of courses and colleges as many as possible in order to secure a seat.
Third step: Submission of confirmation fee
Candidates who have been allotted seats need to pay the confirmation fee within the specified time period given by the authority. If the payment of confirmation fee is not made within the given time period, then the admission is viable for termination believing that s/he is not interested for the admission.
Counselling session for CGR UPSEE 2015 candidates for the current year will be closed on June 23, 2015, while the counselling for candidates applying via JEE Main test scores would end on July 10, 2015.
