UPSEE 2016 Counseling Begins from June 24
UPSEE 2016 Counseling!
The counseling process for Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) 2016 begins from June 24, 2016. Uttar Pradesh Technical University has released all the important details related to the counselling process on the official website of UPTU. UPSEE 2016 was conducted on three different days i.e. on April 17, 23, and 24, 2016, by Uttar Pradesh Technical University for admissions to various UG programmes including engineering and management.

UPSEE 2016 counselling will be conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) in four rounds. The counselling process will get closed on August 5, 2016. Candidates who will be taking part in the process can take a look at the process for UPSEE 2016 counselling below:
First Round of Counselling (Main Round)
The first round counselling will be conducted between June 24 and June 29, 2016. It will include the following steps-
1. Registration: Candidate needs to register for counselling through official website using their application number and password, created at the time of UPSEE 2016 online form submission.
2. Online Submission of Registration Fee: Applicants can submit their fee using Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking through official website.
Registration fee is Rs.20, 000 for General/OBC candidates, and
Rs. 12,000 for SC/ST candidates
3. Display of Seats and Online Choice Filling: Candidates can do this using their Application Number and Password.
4. Document Verification: Candidates will be called at any one of the document verification center for document verification. The list of centers are available at UPSEE website.
5. Allotment Result: The result will be declared on July 3, 2016
6. Confirmation/Acceptance of Allotted Seat:Candidates who has been allotted a seat, is required to exercise any one of the following:
A. Freeze Option-Candidates who are completely satisfied with the seat allotted to them and do not want any up gradation of seat, are required to opt for this option.
B. Float Option-Candidates who want to confirm their seats and at the same time wants to be considered for up gradation in second round counselling, are required to opt for this option.
C. Withdraw Option-Candidates who are not satisfied with the presently allotted seat and do not want to be considered for allotment in any subsequent rounds of counselling, are required to opt for this option.
Candidates who could not be allotted any seat in this round, will have to choose one of the following options-
A. Float Option-Candidates who want to be considered for up gradation of seat in second round of counselling on the basis of his/her already filled choices, must opt for this option.
B. Withdraw Option-Candidates who does not want to be considered for allotment in any subsequent rounds of counselling, should opt for this option.
Second Round of Counselling (Special Counselling)
Second round of counselling will be conducted for new eligible candidates, who could not participate in first round counselling, and for those candidates who opted for “FLOAT” option in first round counselling. The same will be conducted between July 6 and July 7, 2016.
Please note that the registration process for second round counselling will be same as first round counselling.
Third Round of Counselling (Additional Special Counselling for SC Category Candidates)
Third round of counselling will be conducted between July 14 and July 15, 2016. This round of counselling is conducted for fresh candidates of new eligible SC Category, and for candidates who did not participated in first and second round counselling, and for those who opted for “FLOAT” option in second round counselling.
- The registration process is same as first and second round.
- The online payment of registration fee is Rs. 12, 000 in case of SC candidates.
Fourth Round of Counselling
Fourth round of counselling will be conducted for new eligible candidates, who did not participated in first, second, and third rounds of counselling, and for those who opted for “FLOAT” option in third round of counselling.
- The registration process of fourth round of counselling is same as first, second, and third round of counselling.
Fifth Round of Counselling
It will be conducted for candidates who opted for “FREEZE with UPGRADE” option in fourth round of counselling and who have reported for admission at their presently allotted institutes within specified period.
- No fresh registration is allowed in this round of counselling.
Download of Provisional Allotment Letter and Reporting at the Allotted Institute
- Candidates will be allotted their allotment letter between July 28 and July 30, 2016. Only those students who have confirmed their seat by choosing “FREEZE” in first, second, or third round counselling, can download and print the allotment letter from the website.
- The reporting of the candidates at their allotted institutes will be done between July 28 and July 30, 2016.
- Candidates with the printed copy of Allotment Letter, must report at their allotted institutes with the remaining amount of fee and documents.
- The registration fee submitted at the time of counselling, will be transferred by the University to the respective institute after reporting and admission of the candidate.
