VITEEE 2014: Checklist for the exam
The long wait for students is over Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam 2014 (VITEEE 2014) is going to be held as per its schedule, commencing on April 9, 2014 and would continue till April 20, 2014.
As per the information shared by Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University, biometric registration is part of VITEEE 2014’s attendance & hall ticket verification process and all students are requested to corporate with the authorities regarding the same. Since, this verification is extremely important students are advised to keep aside some time for these formalities to take place while attempting the question paper.
It is a known fact that students tend to be under a lot of pressure while heading out to appear for their entrance exams. So, to help you at this time, Shiksha.com is sharing this checklist of things and documents you need to carry while appearing for VITEEE 2014.
VITEEE 2014 admit card: Candidates need to mandatorily carry their admit card to the test centre. The print out of the admit card should be taken on an A4 size paper and candidates need to ensure that all the details, such as, name, photograph, test centre etc are clearly visible on the admit card. Students should strictly refrain from tampering with or making changes on their own on the admit card as doing so can land them in trouble and they can even be stopped from sitting for the exam. Candidates are advised to preserve and keep their admit cards because they would have to present the same at the time of counselling, as well.
Photocopy of the application form: Along with the admit card, candidates need to carry a photocopy of their application form at their VITEEE 2014 test centre. However, make sure nothing is scribbled on the application form.
Photo identification card: Another document that a candidate needs to mandatorily carry at their test centre is a photo ID card. Candidates can carry any one of the following ID cards:
- Passport
- Driving License
- Voter ID card
- IT Pan card
- School or college Photo ID card
- Twelfth Standard board exam hall ticket (or) admit card bearing photo.
Water bottle: Although most test centres serve water to candidates during examination, it is advisable to carry your own bottle of water for the exam. However, make sure that nothing is written on your bottle.
Wrist Watch: Consider wearing a not too fancy watch for the exam to keep a tab of the time you are taking to solve the question paper. However, a word of caution, ensure that your watch does not have a calculator in it or you could be disqualified from sitting for the exam.
Since, we are sure you will be in a hurry on the day of the exam, so we advise that you consider keeping all things things/documents at one place, a night before the exam.
Apart from these things/documents refrain from carrying any other item with you for the exam. Candidates will not be permitted to carry any electronic devices such as mobile phones, pagers, calculators, cameras, music players etc. Also, do not carry any food inside the examination centre as this is strictly prohibited.
