VITEEE 2015: Counselling Process
VITEEE 2015 results have been declared today, April 29, 2015. The official website had earlier informed that results for VITEEE 2015 would be declared on or before April 30, 2015.
Aspirants need to reach the Vellore or Chennai campus of VIT University in order to take part in the counselling process. The Phase-I counseling process for VITEEE 2015 admissions will commence on May 11, 2015. View complete counseling schedule for VITEEE 2015 here.
Candidates who have made it to rank cut-offs for admissions at the various campuses of VIT University need to select their counseling venue, counseling slot and also submit their DD details on the official website of VITEEE 2015.
VITEEE 2015 Mult-City Counselling Process
Counselling procedure for admissions into BTech programmes on the basis of VITEEE 2015 ranks will be done simultaneously at the Vellore and Chennai campuses. This counselling process for VITEEE 2015 will be conducted through online multicity counselling procedure. By means of this procedure, aspirants can opt to attend the counselling in either Vellore or Chennai.
Aspirants need to note that they need to submit their preferred counselling center on or before May 6, 2015 on the official website of VITEEE 2015.
After selecting their preferred counselling centre aspirants need to reach the centre on the scheduled day and at the reporting time of counselling.
While reporting for VITEEE counselling, aspirants need to carry important documents in original. Apart from that candidates also need to carry one set of photocopies of these important documents when they report for counselling. View VITEEE 2015 counselling document checklist here.
In order to successfully complete the VITEEE 2015 counselling process aspirants need to complete six steps which are as follows:
Step 1: Reporting/Registration
Candidates need to reach the VITEEE 2015 counselling centre as selected by them in the multi-city counselling process. After reaching the counselling centre, candidates need to register themselves at the registration desk.
Step 2: Verification of Documents & Biometric Verification
After registering themselves aspirants need to show their original documents to the authorities and get their biometric verification done.
Step 3: Allotment of Branch
Next, aspirants are called for counselling as per their rank. When the rank of a candidate is called out he/she needs to go in the counselling room and select the engineering branch of their choice.
Step 4: Photograph/Finger Print/Digital Signature
Once the branch is allotted to aspirants they need to get their photograph clicked/submit their photographs. After this their finger prints as well as their digital signature are recorded.
Step 5: Student Profile
Further, candidates need to carry their student profile to the counseling centre. The student profile is a form which candidates have to fill online on the official website of VITEEE 2015. In this form they need to mention their personal details like their mother tongue, native state, nationality, blood group etc. In the student profile aspirants also need to mention their current residential address as well as their permanent address.
Step 6: Hostel Enquiry
In the last and final step, aspirants can enquire about the availability of hostels. Here, they need to fill in a form informing about their requirements of a hostel room.
The official website informs, “If hostel accomodation is needed, a single Demand Draft for Rs 21,000 (Hostel fee Advance Rs 20,000 + Processing fee Rs 1,000 non-refundable) drawn in favour of 'VIT University’, payable at either Vellore or Chennai is required. Only computerised Demand draft will be accepted. Hostel accomodation will not be provided if your home town is within 35 kms radius from VIT”. Also, aspirants who pay the full fee will be given hostel accommodation on priority.

Also, all candidates need to submit their demand draft online. Candidates can submit this DD at the same place where they can check their result on the official website of VITEEE 2015. Students will be prompted to fill in details such as payment for counseling/tuition fee or hostel fee. After this they need to fill in the name of the bank, DD number, DD amount and DD date.
