Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology offers after the 10th Diploma via its different Departments. The Diploma course is offered across different specialisations mainly Engineering such as Diploma in Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, and more. The Diploma level course has six semesters that lasts for three years. Admission to the Diploma course is subject to a valid score in the University entrance test conducted by AMU.

All first BTech students are given rooms in the hostel. There are separate hostels for boys and girls, and the list for allocation of the rooms in the hostel is done as per the list provided by the Wardens office.
