Jammu University invites application for MBA in Hospitality & Tourism
Faculty of Business Studies at the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (SHTM) at Jammu has invited applications for its two year full time MBA programme in Hospitality and Tourism [MBA (HT)]. The session for this programme is said to commence in the month of July or August 2014.
Eligibility
Candidates will be eligible to apply for the MBA (HT) programme if they have completed their 10+2 along with a graduation degree or any other equivalent qualification with not less than 50% aggregate marks. However, if a candidate does not possess the above qualification but has passed the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants; Cost and Works Accountants; Company Secretaries ORA.M.I.E. (Engineering) with a minimum aggregate of 50%, he/she will be eligible to apply for the course. Students from the SC/ST quota have a relaxation in this regard wherein they need to score a minimum of 40% in the above said discipline.
Candidates who have appeared or are to appear in the final year of the Qualifying Examination in March/April, 2014 are also eligible to apply for the course; however, they have to take the test provisionally.
Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted and selected for the MBA (HT) programme on the basis of a written entrance test, which is, MAT (Management Aptitude Test), an exam conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA). Students who clear the written test have to undergo a second round of shortlisting which will be done on the basis of Group Discussion followed by Personal Interview.

Jammu University’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management will also accept application of interested candidates who have appeared in MAT exam conducted during September 2013/December, 2013/February, 2014 (whichever is relevant) for the admission to the Course.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may apply for the MBA (HT) programme online at the official website of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, University of Jammu. Students may even get the application forms for the course by hand from the office of SHTM which he/she needs to purchase latest by February 26, 2014. The application form needs to be accompanied with a Bank Draft of Rs. 800 drawn in favour of Director , SHTM, University of Jammu, payable at Jammu along with a self addressed envelope (23 cmx30 cm) bearing postal stamps worth Rs. 60.
