NCHMCT JEE 2014: Eligibility Criteria, Selection Process, Exam Pattern
National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) issued a notification to invite applications for its Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) to be held in 2014. NCHMCT is an autonomous body under Government of India’s Ministry of Tourism.
NCHMCT JEE scores are acceptable for admission in 21 Central Institutes, 14 State Government Institutes as well as 15 private Hotel Management institutes.

NCHMCT JEE 2014: Eligibility Criteria
A candidate needs to have completed his 10+2 as a subject from a recognized board. It is mandatory for the student to have passed English as a core subject of study.
Candidates who are appearing for their 10+2 or equivalent examination are also eligible to apply for JEE on provisional basis; however, the admission will be deemed cancelled if the proof of passing 10+2 examination or equivalent is not presented at the time of counseling or admission.
NCHMCT JEE 2014: Age Limit
The upper age limit to apply for NCHMCT JEE 2014 is 22 years as on July 01, 2014. Age relaxation will be given to SC/ST candidates who can be 25 years of age and still apply for the JEE examination.
Candidates applying for the exam from general category need to shell out Rs. 800 for the application form whereas an amount of Rs. 400 needs to be paid by SC/ST/PH category candidates. This application can be paid by candidates through Credit/Debit card or even through a DD (Demand Draft). The DD should be drawn in favor of 'NCHMCT' which is payable at Noida/ NewDelhi.

NCHMCT JEE 2014: Exam Pattern
Candidates need to answer 200 questions in a span of 3 hours. The exam has negative marking wherein 0.25 marks will be deducted for every question answered wrongly.

NCHMCT JEE 2014: Selection Process
The examination is single level one wherein a written test takes place. There are no interview sessions or group discussions to shortlist candidates. Selected candidates will be allotted colleges on the basis of their merit and rank.
