Our life is really bindaas! A starting MBA often gets Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 while a good airline can pay as much as Rs 1 lakh to a member of their cabin crew. What's the point of studying so much when you can make a lot of money and enjoy yourself too!
Salaries depend on how much you fly - on an hourly basis you get about Rs 30,000. Allowances on international flights are given on a per-day basis depending on the time you spend abroad.
How much do I spend? Crew life can get really hectic because of odd timings, so I like spending money on pampering myself. I like going for massages, manicures, pedicures, which help me keep off jet lag. Whenever I go to Bangkok, I go out all out on shopping and massages. Besides this, many of my friends save the money and invest it in the share market.
The travel industry provides rewards that not many other industries offer. You get the opportunity to meet new people, travel to different parts of the world and experience different cultures. The perks here are very good. At times I feel my friends get really jealous of the money I make.

Humanities subjects give you the freedom to explore your interests. We don't have to mess up our minds like engineering or CA students who study all day long. I would say that we have a life others really envy. We have a happening social life and get a lot of time to build on our talents and explore what's inside.
I earn about Rs 21,000 per month.
As far as spending is concerned, I don't go out much so I spend money on accessories and recording equipment. I hope by next year I'll be able to launch my own R&B music label, which would be a nice blend of English and Punjabi music. I am inspired by Jay Sean and his music.
I love my job because it involves interacting with people on a daily basis and developing good contacts. I get to meet a lot of celebrities, which is the best part. My friends are jealous of my pictures (with celebrities including film and sports stars) that I have put up on Facebook.
Economics Did It!

I am a final year economics (honours) student of Kirori Mal College and am happy to have received two employment letters - one from a leading corporate house offering me the position of an associate analyst at a salary of Rs 2.5 lakh a year. Choosing economics proved lucky for me as the programme attracts the highest number of corporates to colleges.
Apart from being a serious student I have been the lead coordinator of the corporate unit at KMC, part of an NGO called AID Delhi and a volunteer for the central placement cell. About 30 students from my course participated in college placements, out of which only three were shortlisted. I went through an aptitude test, a group discussion and two rounds of interviews.
