Indonesian student delegation visits Delhi school

St Mark's Sr Sec Public School, Meera Bagh, hosted a group of 9 students along with two teachers, Wati Wardani and Popon Julia from Al Azhar High School, Jakarta, Indonesia. Principal, Anjali Aggarwal, vice principal, V. Wahi and educational supervisors, Ritika and Anita, welcomed them.

The student delegates saw medicinal garden, vermicomposting, aerobic composting and recycling unit. They went for a Dilli Darshan and were taken to Agra also. Students of the host school along with their Indonesian counterparts visited the Embassy of Indonesia where they interacted with the Ambassador, His Excellency Lt. General (R) Andi M. Ghalib, SH, MH.

Sanskriti School wins accolades in Beijing

Students of Sanskriti School, Chanakyapuri, participated in the WE Model United Nations held at Beijing. The children who participated in the 4 day conference included Jaya Rawla, Ayesha Wadhawan, Puruvi Baraya, Nayantara Mehra, Kushagra Aniket, Prerna Bhagi, Anjuri, Devina Malaviya, Ashwin Chandrashekhar, Rukmini Chopra, Neetika Khaitan, Prajeet Bajpai, Navishti Das and Mandakini Chandra from Classes XII, XI and X.

The team won innumerable accolades for the school that included among others, Best School Delegation Award and the Most Popular Global Village School Award. Representatives from the Ivy League Model United Nations and the Model United Nations of the University of Chicago were impressed with their performance.

Banyan Tree's award function

The Banyan Tree School, Lodhi Road, conducted its middle school annual prize distribution ceremony. Aishwarya Sinha, theatre and culture consultant, was present on the occasion as chief guest. Students were awarded prizes as a mark of recognition for overall academic excellence, general proficiency and progressive growth during the academic year. Saishree Singhal and Preeti Mohan got the all rounder award, Sunidi Singh and Prabin Palai won awards for co-curricular activities and the best sportspersons award went to Ashish, Bhawna Dixit and Preeti Mohan. This year a group of eight students were decorated with special medals to recognize their efforts as ‘planet saviours'

Students make film in life-changing workshop

Ten students of Tagore International School, East of Kailash, attended a life-changing workshop on professional movie making organized by CineArt in association with PVR Nest. Students from an NGO school, Prayas, were also working in collaboration with this school to make a short movie, the topic being ‘old practices that were used to respect nature'. Professional documentary filmmakers, Ankit Pogula, Dharam Singh and Krishnendu Bose, conducted the workshop. Over the 4-day course, students were made familiar with all aspects of movie making, from script writing to editing. The title that was given to the movie was Pratha Wahi, Soch Nayi.
