A whopping 21,000 seats are being made available under the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) of the Mahatma Gandhi University, for admission to undergraduate programmes offered by government, aided and unaided colleges affiliated to it.

It’s good to have options, especially when it’s admission time! And so is the case with 21,000 seats being made available under the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) of the Mahatma Gandhi University, for admission to undergraduate programmes offered by government, aided and unaided colleges affiliated to it.

100 per cent seats in government colleges will be filled through CAP. Seventy per cent of seats in aided colleges and 50 per cent in unaided colleges will be available under the single window system.

While the community merit quota and management quota seats will be filled by the managements concerned, according to the existing rules, the admissions under cultural or sports quota for outstanding students will be decided by the respective colleges.

Reportedly around 129 affiliated colleges under the university offer 97 undergraduate programmes.

Applying for courses is no more than a cake-walk under CAP, as every student just needs to submit one application while applying for multiple courses and colleges.

Eligibilty for admission: Marks at the Plus-Two level will decide the weightage for the admissions to the degree programmes.

Seats available in various UG courses:

B. Com – 6,278

B.A. (Economics) – 1,941
